The match Barbados v Grenada remains one of most bizzare of history. An unusual rule was imposed in the qualifying tournament: every match was required to have a winner. If the two teams had the same score after 90 minutes, they played a sudden death extra time in which the golden goal was counted as TWO goals. If no team scored in the extra time, then a penalty shootout determined the winner. Barbados needed a TWO goal diffence win to advance and they were making until 83rd minute when Granada score 2-1. Realizing the difficult to score a third goal, Barbados changed strategy and scored an own goal ate 87', level the score to 2-2 forcing extra time. Stunned, Grenada players also realize if they need to score a goal, any goal at any net, to advance in competition. At this point, Grenada team started to attack to both nets and Barbados team to defend both nets. The match ended 2-2 and Barbados scored a golden goal (counted as two) and advanced.
